Project Overview
A leading mall-based clothing and shoe retailer with over 300 locations across the US looked for a security solution that would be effective yet discreet for its retail environments. With a focus on sports apparel and footwear, the brand prioritizes a clean, uniform store design that aligns with its customer experience goals.
Primary Challenge
Securing the sales area without relying on numerous visible or intrusive security devices. The retailer also required that the sensors conform to strict in-store color and design standards. The solution had to blend into the surroundings, maintaining the visual integrity of the store while ensuring effective coverage.
Products Deployed
PA-6800 Series Ceiling-Mount PIR sensors were selected for their reliability and unique availability in black, which allows the devices to blend with the store’s dark ceilings.
Reason
This eliminates the need for painting or customisation, preserving both device integrity and the store’s design vision. The white models were used where appropriate based on store-specific requirements.
Outcome & Impact
The system has performed exceptionally well, with the PA-6800 Series sensors successfully detecting and triggering alarms during multiple break-in attempts. Beyond performance, what made this product especially well-suited for the retailer's needs was its combination of advanced detection capabilities and subtle design.
