Ultrasonic Sensors

Ultrasonic Sensors are non-contacting sensors which use High Frequency sound waves as the detection medium.

The time differential, from time sent to time received after being bounced back from the detection object, determines the distance from or presence of the object.

"Internal circuitry provides correction from variations in surface texture or material hardness."

This type of sensor is suitable for many applications such as the non-contact detection of transparent materials (glass, plastic, films), surface detection of high-speed rolls (paper or steel production) and bin levels (liquids, grains, etc).
