REWRITING THE PIR PLAYBOOK
We've been breaking boundaries in dual-zone technology since launching the MS-12FE, a first-of-its-kind 180-degree outdoor PIR designed to mitigate nuisance alarms from pets and small animals by combining horizontal and downward zones that require simultaneous activation for alarm.
So robust it proved to be, the humble MS-12FE inspired many to try and capture its magic for themselves. The resulting arms race in this sector has seen the MS-12 series expand into a whole family of dual-zone sensors; with the battery operated and wireless-ready TX-114 series, the low-cost OMS-12FE, and most recently the anti-masking and dual-technology equipped MX-12 series all featuring this same detection principle.
INFRARED BEAMS: SEE THROUGH THE NOISE
Creating an impenetrable line of invisible protection, infrared beams can be deployed as standalone perimeter intruder detection systems, or to compliment CCTV as part of a layered security system, providing first-line, real-time event signalling regardless of weather conditions or time of day.
To address challenges like sun glare, which affects the optics of an infrared beam, we encode a signature within the beam signal. This allows us to filter external light frequencies for enhanced rejection of direct & reflected sunlight, vehicle headlights, and other light sources, ensuring uninterrupted functionality in diverse environmental conditions.
